Our mission is to create intentional, Christ-centered communities for college-aged women. We do this because we believe that the abundant life the Lord offers goes unrivaled to anything the world provides. Everything we do is for the ultimate purpose of helping women cultivate their own vibrant relationship with Christ.

College is a lonely and overwhelming transition for so many girls. After experiencing that loneliness firsthand at the University of Georgia, three of college students started a Bible study for freshman girls in 2018. Their hope was to help women see that following Jesus in college makes life so much more fulfilling, and that genuine Christian community is possible.

As the Bible studies grew, older students began leading the next generation of freshmen. In 2019, we hosted our first worship night that drew 250 college women, revealing a deep hunger for Christ-centered community.

As we prayed about how to steward that community, the pandemic brought everything to a halt. To stay connected and encouraged, we launched an Instagram page and officially began As You Are in March of 2020.

Since then, As You Are has grown organically to serve 8college campuses (and counting!!). We started a weekly Bible study podcast to help provide women with an accessible resource for studying scripture. We’ve seen enormous growth, but more importantly we’ve seen individual heart transformation and true friendships grow. Through this ministry girls are truly learning to follow Jesus together in college, and we are so humbled to see what God continues to do through As You Are.
